Klavair
The klavair are an intelligent species of floaters that have dominated the galactic workforce. Originating from the gas giant Amazan, the species has evolved into living balloons. Nostrils take in helium from the air and pump it into a sack that they float from. Other gasses from the sack and digestion blow out from vents and push the klavair forward. The planet Amazan is also extremely hot and humid, with days lasting 72 hours; this has caused the klavair to be very resilient to heat. The species uses four special tongues to manipulate their environment. These tongues cannot taste; a food tongue is located within the mouth. Six eyes sit in sacks on both sides of the head, each eye is responsible for seeing a different primary color, this lets the klavair see on a wide spectrum of light. The species evolved from ambush predators, their ancestors would wait for hours or days on end to catch prey. This led the species to have a high tolerance to menial tasks, which led to their domination of the galactic workforce. Most small jobs that are typically automated, like cashier, checkout, waiter, ship checker, etc., are done by a klavair. The only limit to their job applications is their need for a specific environment; this, however, can be overcome through suits or workplace adjustments. While the klavair can tolerate customer service jobs, they don’t always enjoy it and have a distaste when they see customers of a particular species. Humans have been noted to give them the most annoyance.
