Log 33, Faxa. Our next creature we found was actually discovered by Ming. Since she’s taken an interest in its anatomy and behavior, I’ll let her handle the log.

What? No, I can’t do that, it’s your job. I won’t say all the requirements or something.

I review every vocal record when we return and fill out any missing info. It’s not hard; you’ve got this. Just say what you’ve learned.

Alright, well, the creature is a land-based omnivore with six limbs and three digits. They are roughly two feet long and at least a foot wide. The ligaments of this species are noticeably flexible, especially around the spinal cord and back musculature. They use ambush as their primary attack method. The species has many fleshy masses on its back and messy coloration to mimic rocks on the ground. These masses are chemical factories that produce specialized sweat. The chemical makeup of the sweat comes in two distinct forms: one has a musty smell that mimics the scent of the Salan’s natural prey, and the other is a sticky, acidic substance that traps prey and slowly burns the skin. They use this chemical warfare to lure in prey; once landed, the species curls backward around the prey and waits until they tire from exhaustion. Death occurs in around an hour or two. Once the prey can no longer fight, the creature unfurls and eats them alive.

Don’t forget to tell them the name you gave it.

Oh, right, I’ve labeled it as the Faxa.
