Log 18, Faster Snatchers. Folly, show me Ming and Droid’s location.
You were less than a mile away from them, why are you so far away now?
I got intercepted by a group of snatchers.
Could you not have used your nerve lighting?
There were seven of them and they were running at 50MPH!
Oh, well were you able to take notes while you were being chased?
5.5ft tall predators related to the tree snatchers that chase down their prey at high speeds. The large eye on the stomach looks forward while the ones on the head see from behind. They prey on young sprectros but will group up to hunt larger prey with the patterns helping to camouflage and disorient. Do you need me to list off their skeletal structure or are you going to pull up the location of my missing team?
Alright, alright, they’re 8 miles south of you, should be no time if you were able to sprint that distance.
I’d rather not get chased down again. I’m glad Droid’s not destroying stuff, but he’s been slaking as a bodyguard this trip.
I think he’s better off with your sister, I don’t wanna submit another bleed-out report for her. Management is already mad at you for the last four.
Why are they mad at me? I wasn’t the one that got bit.
You're supposed to be watching her, she’s not experienced like you Farquid.
It would be easier to watch her if she didn’t sneak away all the time.
Have you tried being nicer to her? I don’t know your guy’s history but right now you at least have to stay near each other. It was hard enough vouching for you last time and I don’t think the higher-ups will listen to me again.
You had to vouch for me?
Yeah, I did. The “additions” your family has made to your expeditions have already stepped on a few toes. They were thinking about letting you go after the second expedition; it took me begging them and saying that you’re my responsibility to change their minds.
So now your job’s on the line.
Hey, it’s not that big of a deal what happens to me, I have other options.
You’ve wanted this position since you were four and had to perform higher than some humans to get in, you shouldn’t lose that because of my family.
I don’t think you should lose your job because of your family either, but that’s the situation we’re in.
I’ll talk to Ming
Thank you.
