Log 17, Aurtro. I was looking through the wetlands and found yet another creature incorporating gold into its anatomy. The aurtro is a small omnivore with gold-plated scales on its back. Despite the look, these scales are only about 7% gold making them fairly light. The way the aurtro acquires its gilded scales is through symbiosis with the halcyon mold; adult aurtros will use their powerful claws to break off pieces of the halcyon mold and feed it to their young. Um, when consumed the mold will make its way to the skin and incorporate itself into the scales. When adults the aurtro eat cydropeds dug up with their powerful claws. They possess a special organ on their face that acts like a powerful nose. This is unique as most animals on the planet smell through their skin. This adaptation shows that *sigh*, I can’t do this. Dammit Droid, why’s a deathbot giving good morale advice. Droid where’s Ming? Droid?
